The models that come under the segment of three row crossovers have an advantage of their own. They get sold out faster than any other car model, as the demand is rising higher than each previous day. But things get tougher on the other side, as the competition too becomes tighter, leaving all the automakers busy in renovating their crossover models with even better feature options. The 2020 GMC Acadia is one such three row crossover that faces the same fate.
As learned from a known source who serves at the Rigby GMC dealer showroom, the 2020 GMC Acadia survived the war of thrones because of the following strong selling points that are fortunately yet to be adopted by many of its rival models.
The Raging PowerOptions
The 2020 GMC Acadia fulfills the criteria of being a three-row crossover SUV mostly through its boastful engine choices that range from being ordinary to roaring ones. The year 2020 adds more spice to the existing power lineup since GMC introduced a new 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine that is known for making 230-horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It places itself keeping below the base 2.5-liter inline-4 engine rated at 193-hp, following the more powerful 3.6-liter V-6 engine above it, that cranks out 310-hp.
The 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine is offered as the standard source of power for the entire lineup of the 2020 Acadia. But it is seen mostly under the hoods of the SLT and Denali trim models, while the base inline-4 is given to the SL and SLE trims. At the top of the range, the AT4 trim models are allotted the V-6 engine to rule the highways.
But irrespective of the engine capacity you load for your 2020 Acadia model, GMC will give you a 9-speed automatic transmission as the only option to mate with the engine and for carrying the engine power to the respective wheel with which you configure your 2020 Acadia. This year it has replaced the earlier 6-speed automatic one. The new transmission is preferred by most buyers once they experience the benefit that its stop/start system provides.
Other Feature Upgrades for the 2020 Year Edition
All the 2020 GMC Acadia models now come equipped with a new pair of exterior mirrors that are integrated with the LED turn signals. A new power liftgate is also added on the SLT, AT4, and Denali trim models that are meant to project the prestigious GMC logo on the ground when it is driven after the dusk.
Inside of all 2020 GMC Acadia cabins a new set of creature comfort features are seen replacing the earlier tweaks. The most significant of them all is the newly upgraded infotainment software that now works through a bigger 8.0-inch touchscreen display that also has a series of buttons.
As per the GMC dealer serving Rigby, GMC also installs a high-resolution rearview camera as an optional feature on the SLE trims that is offered as standard equipment on the SLT and higher trim levels. On the Denali models a new rearview mirror with a high-resolution camera is also offered as an upgradable option.
